Can I use Adobe Photoshop + Adobe Animate exclusively and work with Adobe Character Animator?
This is a weird question and I can’t find the solution anywhere online. & # x200B; I’d like to know if I can avoid using Adobe Character Animator and still produce quality animation. & # x200B; I’ve been working on a modeling clay animation music video project for over a year, but took a break for months after encountering the limitations of the squash system when working with Character Animator. My early 2015 Macbook Pro (8gb ram) can’t run the software well and will freeze and crash. & # x200B; I had already put in ** so many ** hours of work, but made the decision to go back to Photoshop and reduce the physical size of my (two) character projects. This took each of the files from being around 400MB to under 100MB, initially helping my cause but losing quality in the process. Of course, I had to go back to * bone * every character in Character Animator, and due to my lack of knowledge, I basically started over from scratch. & # x200B; My “fix” was fine at first, but once I got to the point where my characters could blink, walk, lip sync, etc., glitches started happening again. Random at first, but more and more often. Going from the platform to the stage takes several minutes. & # x200B; I found that although 8GB is the minimum required, it recommends 16GB or more. & # x200B; I can’t upgrade the RAM on my Macbook, so unless I resize the files again and end up with very low-resolution character files, I don’t think I’ll get anywhere with Adobe Character Animator. & # x200B; I recently wanted to go back to the project, but I am still limited by my system’s RAM. & # x200B; Today I found out that ** Adobe Animate ** requires only 2GB (recommends 8GB or more), so I am wondering if I could use this software exclusively with Photoshop and see my project come to life. I have no experience with this software, but my initial plan was to migrate to Animate once I had my puppets 100% finished. & # x200B; Without a doubt, one of the ** biggest ** efforts I’ve made on this project was creating individual layers in Photoshop. I already have all the angles and all the layers separated and ordered. I also have the Puppet files from Character Animator, but working in this app is almost impossible for me. * I’m talking about a screaming laptop fanatic, the spinning wheel of death, and the app freezes for 10 minutes at a time. * Thanking the community in advance!
