Looking to learn 3D animation to eventually make a short film - What software is easier / more intuitive?

I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I want to learn 3D animation to eventually make a short film as a solo project. I previously did some 2.5D animations in Adobe After Effects and did some 3D models / characters / environments in “Dreams” on PS4, but I am wondering what the next step might be and what software to invest in to make a 3D. short? These are 2 animations that I really liked the visual style:
