Apple has released the newest product in the Apple family – the MacBook Pro. A peek under the hood of an apparently simple DVD disc reveals a number of parts. Most files on a DVD are tagged with the .vob extension, which stands for video object format. VOB is a type of container format, which means that it wraps multiple types of subfiles in a single object and makes them all work together at once. This is great if you just want to play the disc on a DVD player or on your computer with any player software that comes with your system. However, if you want to put a movie clip on your Facebook wall or copy the entire movie to your iPad, you will need to convert the VOB files to a more viable format. A VOB file converter is the software you need to transform a DVD movie into your own little work of art.
